Well I don’t know what to do Caroline. Now the Grotto Falls pictures that were there aren’t showing and they were before because I checked. I don’t have tome right now to continue but maybe they are just playing peek-a-poo and will eventually show
Dalton, his boys and Gus at Margaritaville when we ate that night.
There were horseback riders and this wagon of people we were stopped for crossing our road out of Cades Cove
Young bear my hubby spotted in woods, as we were leaving out of Cades Cove. He crossed the road in front of us and went into the grassy field
It is so much more enjoyable seeing them in nature than in cages at a zoo
Pictures didn’t upload below so I’ll try a few at a time
Grotto Falls and Ashley’s family (minus Avery & then Mason didn’t go😩) with 3 bears spotted on trail down
Toogie thanks for your update. I’m not seeing your added photos and am on my phone so would be interested if others also are not seeing pictures
Maybe I added too many. I will try a few at a time then. Thanks for informing me.
Toogie I think it’s a problem with Cute. I will pass the message on and see what happens
What a great trip for you and the family. That is something I would like to do at some time.
Updated with a few more pictures.
First few are Grotto Falls and bears spotted in distance while hiking back to vehicle.

Ashley’s family at clingmans Dome. Ashley and Grayson had to take turns staying up at the parking area while rest of family hiked on up to the dome. It’s a steep climb but a paved path. I think it’s the highest elevation in Tennessee and temperature drops so very cold up there. Henry Whitehead cabin in the Cove. We went with Marsha and Richard to Cades Cove while Ashley’s family went to Clingman’s Dome. Pictures in the Cove and look we saw a lot of turkeys, including this one that posed for Thanksgiving and even goggled a few times because Richard was doing his Turkey call.-lol back at the cabin and ready for bed. Waterfalls, streams, creeks everywhere and I love water! Lastly, a sneak peak from our photo shoot. Hope I haven’t bored you with vacation pictures.🥰
You and your family certainly chose one of the prettiest states to visit. I'm glad you are all having fun and doing things you love. I hope Avery is doing better now. It has to be scary when this happens when you are such a long way from home. Enjoy every minute that remains.
Before we went I found out where the nearest hospital and walk in clinics were. She was fine after that night, but we kept her the next day and she slept most of the day. She was worn out I’m sure.
You certainly have a full vacation planned. Sounds like everyone is having a great time. So many activities in the area and the waterfalls are beautiful. No bear for me, I would have and anxiety attack! Several years ago I was in the area for a couple of days and enjoyed the sites very much. Continue to have a great family vacation!
This was my fourth trip, Ashley’s third I believe and I can’t count the times Marsha’s been. We are never disappointed with the glorious views.
You are about 2 1/2 hours north of me. I live at the foothills of those mountains. I've hiked most of those trails. There are 10 or 11 "roadside" waterfalls that are only a short distance from the road. I guess my favorite of those is Bridal Veil Falls. The name is as beautiful as the falls. That sounds like a lovely family trip.
We haven’t found that fall but Ashley’s family went to Grotto Falls, while we kept Avery and I’ll add some of those pictures too. You could walk behind it which the kids thought that was cool. Is Bridal Veils in the Smokey’s ?
Toogie your fun holiday continues. Super pictures and thanks for sharing
That's too close to the bear for me! Great picture. Sounds like everyone's having a blast. Plan an easy last day, if that's possible so your back has a good start on that long drive home. Spring is so beautiful in the mountains. (Also, in May when the rhododendrons all bloom.)
I was uncertain about booking for this time of year, but as I said before, we wanted Eva to enjoy this experience before she returned to her homeland, Spain. It is perfect weather, not too hot or too cool, and not raining. When the big bear came a little closer, the rangers moved people on. I know all the postings I saw said don’t get any closer than 50 yards. Marsha zoomed in for really close up pictures. However, the young bear was too close. We saw him by chance. Hubby spotted him as we were driving out and no rangers around since there were about 4 with the bigger bear.
