I apologize to all of the birthday folks this past week. I have begun my treatment this past week so got behind with Cute. I am doing OK. Already struggling with fatigue but have gotten helpful information from people I have met to rest when tired and nap when sleepy. I still feel very blessed to have great doctors, nurses, techs and a host of other specialists on my team. We are staying in an American Cancer facility during the week and will try to go home on weekends. I admit, the 4-hour drive is harder than I thought it would be, but I can nap while Rob drives. And I have to chuckle, my big birthday gift this year will be my 4th radiology treatment.

Oh boy, what a gift, huh? How many of these do you need to complete the course of radiation? God is guiding this journey and all will be well again! How is your pain that started this whole string of events? I thank God that you don't have to travel the 4 hours for every treatment, that in itself can take a toll on your body! 😘🥰

Dear Karen, I do pray that you will fully recover and listen to all your friends on here - rest when you are tired. I'm glad I have read your post and know what I've got to look forward to next week. Love Chris

Karen, please just get well! Don't worry about birthdays! You do need to rest when you need to, even preventive. Hugs,

You have a more valid reason than me for not wishing a lot Happy birthdays. I have just been busy and honestly, some of the names I don’t recognize. I’m glad y’all have a place to stay during the week. I do hope you don’t feel too bad during treatments. Like Laura says you can celebrate once your treatments are over and you feel better. ❤️Toogie

Karen I think that you are the only person I know who apologises for being away due to medical treatment. Seriously its good to know that you are coping with your treatment. Well some years our birthdays are different and this appears to be one of them but still hope that you can celebrate in some small way

I am happy to read your updates and that you have a sense of humor still. I didn't have the time to take a nap or otherwise. I managed a surgeon's office during my time of radiation and chemo. But, yes, rest is important and also hope your appetite stays good, mine did not. My daughter, on the other hand, is doing great also. But she is not having chemo or radiation but she will start on a new med I'm not sure when. Right now she has to give herself a blood thinner shot a day because of having Factor V Leiden 'inherited blood clot disease' from her Daddy's side of the family.

Glad you are getting along okay, and most certainly you rest when you can, and nap when you can. My Hubby went through the same things, and I just let him sleep. So glad that you can at least have a place to stay so you do not have a 4 hour trip each way.
Wishing the best for you and continued prayers.

My dear, your health is more important. When my hubby was going through treatment, he required a lot of rest. It is a slow process and worth every moment. You and your entire family are included in my prayers......God Bless and keep you.....Cori
