This is great Toogie, very military colours. Unusual pattern, don't think I've seen it before.
You're amazing with the number of quilts you make!

Thanks Mary. I ran across a picture and I thought I could do that. I like some 3D or illusion quilts and this one worked for me. Some play with my vision so much I get dizzy like Carolyn or Karen. This one did not.
As far as making the quilts, I just cut and piece the Quilts of Valor tops, or flimsy as some people call them. Someone else, another member, quilts them before giving them back to me to finish with binding and label. I only quilt my own personal or CASA, donation quilts. I usually try to take a picture when I complete the piecing because I may not remember by the time everything else is finished. However, I may update or show this one again after quilting bc Lynn got a new Star design we are both anxious for her to try.
I understand what you mean when you say illusion quilts make you dizzy. I have a friend who can't stand to look at even a bargallo quilt as she gets dizzy!
Would love to see it when it's quilted. I am making scrap lap quilts for our local nursing home at the moment, we are moving at the end of the year, and I can't take all those scraps with me!! Mary C
How sweet of you to think of others and think ahead, too. I would hate to know I had to sort to pack and move. I don’t think I can sew any faster-lol
Wow! Toogie, this one is very modern. All those colours are great for the army guys. The Veteran who receives this will love it. You are amazing the amount of quilts that you do. Love Chris
Chris, it was almost too easy but I think I got bored with it. Maybe I’ll feel better once Lynn quilts it. She just got a new quilting design for her LA and said she has been waiting for the right top to try it out. It has stars so I’m anxious to see it quilted. The quilting should show up good in these blocks that read as solids. Thanks, I hope you’re feeling well ❤️
Love the Tank Tracks name, this will be a perfect quilt for an army vet. Whoever receives this quilt will love it. It looks like the army - very organized, detail oriented and well thought-out.
You describe the army well. I just found out the pattern name is Magic Carpet. On a link someone showed the measurements bigger cuts than mine so there are more blocks in each row in mine and maybe more rows. Thanks!
You do lovely work my friend .I cannot sew anything like this it makes me dizzy and i can't see straight .So i will enjoy yours lol hugs xx
Oh Carolyn I do understand what you mean by some of the optical illusion patterns making a person dizzy. This one didn’t bother me, but some of those even though I like the look, I’d puke, trying to sew it or move while I look at the picture. Thanks as always for looking and commenting.
Great job! I love the fussy cuts! I am still working on my quilting.
Reminds me of tank tracks. Toogie I love your I ideas
I love your interpretation so guess what? I’m naming it Tank Tracks! Thanks!!!
