Thanks toogie and she has two heirloom quilts now
You are a miracle worker to get these 2 done so quickly. I have no doubt the mothers will love and treasure their quilts. I certainly would.
I just added the mom to be opening them. I have the other baby quilt started but I will finish it next week, hopefully.
They are gorgeous! I like the size too. That is a lot of stippling, but you do it well! They will be loved for sure!
Perfect for baby! Your quilting and fabric choices are lovely. Do you do the stippling yourself on your regular home sewing machine? Wish I had half your talent. You’re very good at it.
All but 3 pinwheel fabrics and one of the backings came in a kit. Yes I do the stippling, free hand on my long arm machine. It looks like a regular machine in a way, but no feed dogs and about 3 times as much space between the needle and the motor. It’s 18 inches throat space. I have ruler quilted one for my oldest granddaughter ( it’s posted here ) but other than that one I usually stipple quilt. It’s relaxing to me and anything else takes me too long- lol Thanks
Toogie, they are gorgeous! The mums must be delighted getting one.
I’ll let you know. My plan was to try to finish 3 because another girl will be at this shower and she’s having a boy. However, since I started these late Monday and with a day of dr appointment and shopping, then half day to go another place for machine quilting thread, I ran out of time to complete the baby boy quilt.
Toogie yet more beautiful quilts. It is always lovely seeing your work
Lovely babyquilt. Congratulations
Thank you Anita. By the way, Eva’s parents and brother have been here since Thursday. They will come over tonight for the evening meal. They go back to Burgos,Spain tomorrow.
I am sure the two families will have much to talk about and laugh over. Have a delightful time with them. You have been such a wonderful adoptive grandma to Eva.
