oh, Toogie... How special you are to all your family and to me?
thanks for sharing...
Oh, Toogie, what wonderful pictures!!!! The quilt you made her is one of my favorites (I remember your previous picture). I love the blues in it! And you know Eva will cherish it and all of her time with your family! What a wonderful experience for her! Hugs to you and yours!!!
We just said our goodbyes to Eva. I told her normally I would cry to see her go but knowing she is coming back in a few weeks, I’m okay. She hugged me a long time but said yes, she will be back.
Forgot to add we said goodbye to her parents and brother after church this morning as they had a different flight than Eva
I love each of these pictures of a very special time for Eva and her American family. I'm so glad you got to meet her mom and brother too. I'm so glad she will be able to spend more time with you all while she goes to college too. And she gets to show off her beautiful quilt. She is such a beautiful girl inside and out. Kudos to you and your family.
It was 15 of us here for supper last night and it was loud with laughter and kids running and playing. I learned Eva’s mom crochets and knits. She said she went in Walmart here and they don’t have quality thread like in shops in Spain. Imagine that!-lol she struggled a little for the word ‘acrylic ‘ but I laughed when she said it and she made a face.
Such beautiful Photos. Wonderful memories for you all. Hugs
Yes and can you believe, I only got one quick half handed picture last night, so not too good and only of about 4 of the people that were here.🙄
Ah the lovely pictures have arrived. Thanks Toogie for sharing your special moments with us. I love the last picture of the pair of you together a great picture. I also hope you have a great evening with her family and hope you see her again before too long
Eva will be back in August for university/college. She will live in the dorms on campus but come ‘home’ here on weekends.
Her beauty has matured in this year. What a wonderful picture with you and love the quilt wrapped pic, too. What blessings she has brought your family and the reverse is true, also.
I know I am so proud my daughter and son-in-law participated in the foreign student exchange. Eva said if she hadn’t come here she would perhaps not become a Christian as they didn’t attend church services. We are so proud of her!
She looks so surprised AND happy. Wonderful memories for ya'll!!
Yes, we will always remember these times. She is very appreciative for everything, too. She had been very responsible with finances while here, unlike her brother. He is in the program too but he was with a family in Michigan. One month he ran the credit card up $2,000 ! Needless to say parents put a hold on his card. Eva on the other hand has tried to save her parents money but she is 18 now and he is 15. Ashley borrowed prom dresses for her and other formals she needed while here, to help her save.
