I love seeing your quilts. You do such a great job with design, color and quilting. The way the pinwheels pop makes this quilt unique.
Thank you, I am hoping to bring it to my cousin on the 13th. It’s for her great grandson. I have previously made 2 other kids quilts out of this fabric and I still have some.
Love your pinwheel quilt Toogie. Pretty colours too!
Oh my, I love that puffy pattern and don't know how you accomplished that. Lovely quilting stippling and love the colors.
Thank you Patti, I think when you stipple it kinda flattens the fabric some or gives it a different texture, then outlining the pinwheels lets them fluff up.
The colors are gorgeous and really pop out on the white background. Great job. Would make a nice picnic blanket also.
I thought the same thing, to put baby down but not in the grass. Thanks, I believe white helps it pop if it's colorful, not pastels.
Beautiful....remarkable job and by watching a video? Wish I were as talented and adventurous as you.
I am sure you could do it. It's just straight stitching, most of the time. Thank you
Love it! I also find it amazing how the pin wheels in this quit seem to pop up and steal the show. And my gosh, you made it by watching a video! I hope that awful migraine will stay away for the rest of your life.
Thank you, I hope so too. You would laugh when I tell you, I got hubs to watch the video to help me guess the ‘size’ she was cutting the corners and side triangles.-lol
This is one of the quilts I absolutely love! My fingers can almost feel the puffiness. Your talent continues to amaze me! I am glad your migraine is gone. I have only had 2 and don't want another one. Continue to feel better! Hugs, Suzanna
Thanks Suzanna, thank goodness they have been far between.
The quilt should puff more when I wash it before giving. A friend told me, after I washed Eva’s quilt, that she just loves the ‘crinkly’ look and feel—lol
Oh another super toogie quilt. This looks lovely and looks simple to make … but that’s a daft comment from someone who doesn’t make quilts. I also love the way you have quilted it giving a 3D effect
It is a simple quilt to piece. I told my husband it wouldn’t have taken me nearly as long to quilt, if I would have just stippled the whole quilt. It was slow going around and across the pinwheels and I didn’t always stay so straight without a ruler. However if you just look at the quilt you don’t notice the quilting so much. I like how the pinwheels fluff up, too.
I tried to get all 3 baby quilts done last week but I only managed to get 10 of these pinwheels made by Friday. So I figured I would do it this week. However I woke up Tuesday with a migraine that lasted until today. Thank God this morning it was gone. I was almost afraid to open my eyes but the pain was finally gone.
Thanks for always looking and commenting on my work.❤️
