Hi gals, it’s 8.00pm Monday night 3rd July as I write this. Look who has come to eat at our place tonight - our gorgeous Possums -mother and daughter. I put an apple out for them as they love fruit. They live in that massive gumtree you can see behind the back deck. Love Chris

I used to come home from work with some hamburgers and french fries for my kids. It was winterish so dark outside. A mother raccoon and babies would come up to drink from a water bowl so I started giving them fries, otherwise stay away from them. We have wildlife cross our yard to our woods all the time but dangerous as rabies can run wild thru them all. Be careful. Yes, yours are cuter than the USA possum.

Oh! Patti, that would have been wonderful to see. I love seeing Raccoons, they look such characters. I agree with you it's better to keep your distance from wildlife. Love Chris

Hi Vicki, I don't encourage them to become dependent on me, as they are native animals and I wouldn't want to try and pat it!! They are purely nocturnal animals. Love Chris

Hi Chris, yes, it's the same tree. I'm actually sitting at my computer at the moment and we have a rogue Kookaburra that loves to attack our glass balustrade! He's been at it again today!! Love Chris

No reservations needed for this adorable possum, the first thing I noticed was how different looking from ours in USA. I have seen many possums in my yard but never thought of feeding them. I stay away from wild creatures. Hugs and love, Suzanna

Hi gals, I've just uploaded the closeup of our Mother Possum with the apple I handed her! She took it, but was wary. We do have cute Possums, I know they are completely different to yours in America.
