Looks great, and it is wonderful to have time with Nora, I look forward to see what you come up with. Is that another pillow inside or a false top.
It is one 16 inch pillow form inside of the shirt. The shirt opens at the snaps, you insert the pillow form, smooth the flap down the center front and snap the shirt back up.

After lunch she made a phone pillow. I forgot my pellets at home and my funnel, so tomorrow we will stuff the fat end that the phone rest on. I come back home once Grayson gets back from work. They were going to his brother's for their 4th BBQ and swimming.
You are so clever! I now see how you finished the top with the collar. I like this idea. Kudos to you to do this for her, especially with all of the family tasks and stitching you still have to finish.
It looks like I will be robbing Peter to pay Paul. I didn't get to sew today with all I did with and for the kids. Nora sewed after lunch but I will be robbing from the bus gifts for the BBQ the 8th and making more to replace for the bus gifts of what I 'stole'. I found out I have the rest of the month......
Love it with the collar. Hugs
She liked it so for that I am pleased. It really was simple to do. Thanks Shirley.
Wow, don't know you did it with the collar still attached but that is fabulous. I love it.
After I cut my pillow shape out I used the tail of the shirt and made a flap. I edge finished 3 sides and sewed the hem edge to the neck/collar. Thanks
I don't understand this--I am a visual person...but I think it is absolutely ingenious.
I'm sorry, I don't think I took any pictures but I will look back on my phone. There are you tube videos showing how to. I think I used this idea:
