Beautiful baby quilt! And the little pouches are so lovely and practical, too. I’m sure this new mom will use every piece. They are darling, and look very professional.
Awesome quilt! That must have taken a long while to stitch. Love the baby animals. You’re right, they are quite detailed. Beautiful gift for a new mom and baby.
All I can add is WOW!!!! You have made a beautiful yet useful gift.. I'm sure there was love in every stitch.
Such a awesome Gift Beautifully Made ..Love the designs!!!
Thank you. I love all the detail in the animals. You can almost feel their fur/skin or feathers. Very realistic.
Such a awesome Gift Beautifully Made ..Love the designs!!!
Lovely, lovely, lovey! Your friend will be so pleased! Wonderful gifts! Hugs, Laura
Beautiful!!! She will be thrilled with your gift.
Awesome gift and such great work. Someone is going to really love it and when baby gets older will love the quilt and detail you achieved. Congratulations on a job very well done.
Thanks so much. Her baby shower was yesterday, and I heard someone say “the quilt should go right on her wall”. Maybe it will become wall art, instead of a useful blanket. No matter which, I hope they like it.
Just have to say, there is Nothing not to like about it. It will be an honor to have, no matter how they choose to use it.
This is so perfect in every way. Your new mom is going to love this. Baby animals have stitched out perfect also.
Thanks - I like how realistic (and cute) the designs look, and they stitch out very well. It seems Safari animals are quite popular for Nursery decor at the moment.
I’d say you succeeded with all of your hopes with this collection. The designs, your choice of fabrics and all of the extras you have done are thoughtful and classy.
Thank you. I enjoyed making them. It’s my first time making the clutch and pouch. They could have lots of uses as this little grows up.
How adorable! I love the quilt and all the embroidered animals. You must be very close to this new mom to put in so much work and thought. Just beautiful!
Thank you Toogie. That’s a real compliment coming from you (a quilt expert)! Not so close, actually - other side of family, and only through marriage. But I’ve known her for a very long time. I just hope she uses and enjoys these items.
BTW, I know you understand the need for a good sewing machine when quilting. I got a new machine after I finished my last quilt. Although my 1970’s singer is still going strong, she doesn’t have much space under the arm to squeeze a large project through. My new machine has a 12” throat space, and let me tell you, it is a dream!! Now, if I could only learn to do free motion quilting…
I don't find meandering hard and so that's my usual quilting design. Ruler quilting is a little harder, for me to hold onto the ruler, while moving the quilt. I know any larger throat space makes everything so much easier to move around. I quilted two queen size on a REGULAR machine with little throat space and one was denim, so when you get a larger one you sure are thankful.
