This is the current state of Mum, taken on last Friday before Jewls left to go home to South Australia. She's in much better form.
I took her out on Monday to buy 2 more pairs of shoes, ones that are easy to put on. I have taken all her old shoes and given them to one of our local charities. Love Chris
Lovely pictures. Great memories. Nice to hear from you again. Hugs
Thanks Shirley, I love coming on here, but time is and has been an enemy at the moment. I'm trying to spend as much time as I can with Mum, you never know what the next day will bring. Love Chris
Three lovely ladies!! What a wonderful post - all of you laughing and having a good time! Hope you get a day or two of "rest" before you are off again to help out! Thanks for the update - loads of hugs! Laura
Hi Laura, I'm glad you liked it. I had a great weekend and visited Mum after church yesterday.
Our Bishop visited and I said the Prayers of the People and everyone loved them. It was our 4th Sunday in the Season of Creation and of course I included all the things beloved in our country, flora and fauna included, plus prayers for the world, community, church, people and those who have gone before us. Love Chris
Love the pictures! I even got a chuckle out of the story! I am glad you are able to help your family. Jewls looks like she is really enjoying the day. Mum looks great! Hugs and flowers to you, Suzanna
Hi Suzanna, there's always something to make one laugh and there's so much going on at Opal. Jewls had a wonderful time here and was very teary leaving on Friday morning, but she's back home in South Australia and looking after her animals, (who went berserk when she walked in her door). Thanks for the flowers and hug. Love Chris
What precious memories and pictures to treasure. It’s good to see your mum having lucid times to enjoy. You have had quite the busy time iPod it so hope you manage get in some time to rest.
Thanks dear Karen, it's so good seeing Mum living life again and enjoying her time at Opal. I'm taking it easy and only visiting Mum every other day, sometimes I miss an odd day and Mum doesn't know anyway. Love Chris
Welcome home.
I love babysitting the four-legged children. "G"
Your Mum looks really good, and your sister is so like you. Good to see you looking so happy and well.
Thanks so much, I love babysitting the dog mostly, but having to always keep an eye out for Fleur the cat was taxing!!!!!
Mum is doing well, we can't believe the transformation after her 2 seizures. Annette, one of Mum's favourite nurses said she thought she'd lost her when she had the first seizure (in the Dining room of all places!) She calls her her 'miracle' woman. Mum follows her around everywhere and Annette loves her. Thanks for the comment about Jewls, I always think Jewls looks like Mum more and I look like my Dad! Love Chris
Oh Chris, it’s so good to see all of you together and having a happy moment! Three weeks is a long time, wow! We’re Amy and Steve on holiday or was it work? Your mum looks good and always so nicely dressed. Love the pictures!
Hi Carolyn, Amy, Steve and the girls (Opehlie and Delphi) went to Greece for Steve's twin sister's 2nd wedding for the first week then onto Italy down the Amalfi coast to Sorrento and some other places. They got home Saturday absolutely bushed, slept most of the afternoon and of course woke up at 1.00 in the morning. They then tried to rest for a couple of hours but by 5.00 were all up having breakfast and going for a walk!
Mum is a miracle, the 2 nurses who are Mum's favourite girls always make her up for me. I'm taking Mum out today (Monday) to take her for some more shoe shopping!
Thanks for your lovely comments. Love Chris
Lovely pictures and life sounds busy but fun
What a nice picture of you all. Good to see mum laughing and you enjoying her sense of humor. You all look so good too.. Makes you feel good inside. Thanks for the update we love seeing you all. HUGS Suzanne
Thanks so much Suzanne, yes, it was great to see Mum laugh. It's so hard to get her to even smile at the camera, as she doesn't know where to look. Love Chris
