Hi gals, I’ve been busy with family commitments etc. Mum is continuing to astound us with her resilience

and is back to her non stop talking again!!
I’ve decided to make Christmas stockings for her care team. I’m planning on giving 10 for the nurses and one for the receptionist who works on Friday and the weekend (she is fabulous). All double sided and lined except the beige one is the same fabric front and back.
I’m looking toward to Christmas Eve when we are having all the family here plus Mum. Then we are going away from the 30th till the 7th January. Merry Christmas to you all. Love Chris

Chris with all that is required of you, you still manage to do more. God bless you! I’m glad to hear you will be together with all your kids and families this year. It’s bittersweet when one is absent. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family!

By the way, stockings look great!

These are so sweet just as you are for stitching them!! Everyone will be delighted by your thoughtfulness! Sounds as though you will have a houseful on Christmas Eve.... such fun! We are in Florida - Dear Husband's Dad turns 94 this year and is always on the go. We decided to spend the holiday with him and Hubby's brother and his family. We certainly miss our kiddos but will Face-time with them on Christmas. Have a wonderful holiday!! Hugs, Laura

Good news concerning your mum. I love the idea of giving stockings to the people who give her such good care. Take time to enjoy this special season too.

Hi Karen, thanks so much. It's draining seeing her and talking with her these days, but I have to remember her as she was and know that this special time I have with her is all a blessing.
I'm so looking forward to being with all the family this year. It will be noisy, fun and tiring all in one day! Love Chris

Hi Lidia, thanks so much. Those placemats took ages to make. I did 12 of them a few years ago. They are one of my table decorations for Christmas. At the moment I only have two out for Trev and me for dinner. Love Chris

Chris what a kind gesture and I’m sure you have had fun creating the stockings. Some have the idea life becomes quieter after retirement but for you and many others it’s full on and fun. You can go away and know your mum is safe.

Thanks Caroline, yes, it's great knowing Mum is being looked after full time. She knows now not to get up on her own and just take off, she has to have someone with her at all times when walking. It takes a load off my mind. Love Chris
