Hi Kim, well this is just absolutely a perfect stitchout. Preparation of the fabrics makes all the difference. I used to love doing the Disney characters when I had my Brother machine, (especially when the girls were young). Excellent work, love Chris
This is so lovely! The stitch out is absolutely perfect! I am sure this little girl will be delighted.
Can I ask how you stabilized the design so it has no puckers and no visible stabilizer lines? I always worry that my embroidery will not look as nice on my knits so I avoid embroidering on them which is my loss.
Thank you for your kind words... My technique is not the normal...I actually hoop tearaway stabilizer, use a spritz of temporary adhesive spray and position the T-Shirt and cover with a WSS topper. Then I pin the outer areas of the shirt in the hoop and then stitch. I back with Pellon Ultra Light Knit fusible to cover the back of the embroidery. It protects the skin from irritation and also stabilizes the embroidery against puckers...especially in laundering.
Thank your for this advice. I will certainly give it a try. I only hope I get as nice a result as you!
Awesome stitching!!! This will be her favorite t-shirt and I am certain she will want to wear everyday!!!!! Lovely job! Hugs!
Thanks Laura... I hope they dress her in it when they take her to Disneyland....I would have liked to put her name on it, but at three years old...not such a good idea...
Great stitch-out, a beautiful gift, she will love it, hugs Maria
She is going to love wearing this. The stitch-out is great and so are your added wording & choice of font.
Exactly the way a copyrighted design should be done - with a Brother machine and Disney's permission, and gifted to a cute child on her way to a wonderful time with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. This is great!!!
Aw, thanks...and I agree with your comment about Brother and Disney too...
