Hi Gals, I've been flat out looking after kids, then Trevor (hurt his back) so I needed to help him etc. then helping with volunteering at our new Op Shop and I've done a bit of sewing.
Taylor Swift was here last weekend in Sydney and our daughter Dana wanted me to sew out designs for her. I bought a set from Doobee Embroidery and thought that's easy I'll just resize them and place them into my 8x8 hoop! First mistake!! Thankfully I always do practice stitch outs on calico for something special!
Well, my machine chewed through the fabric with so many dense stitches in RED, then the other words were also just as bad, so what to do! I know I'll call Meganne and see if she can help me. So 5 hours down with her 2 weeks ago and she got me on the right track with RED and a couple of the other words. Unbeknowst to me, all the rest of the words were also too dense. So back and forth emails and finally I got it finished last Wednesday. Dana came over Wednesday night and was absolutely thrilled with the outcome. Thanks to Meg, she is a star.
The girls had a wonderful time and many people complimented them on the fine stitching on the back of their jumpsuits. The girls also put little seed pearls all over the collar.
Then on Sunday night Amy, Steve, Ophelie and Delphi went down to see her. They haven't stopped raving about her concerts.
I was so happy to help out and am so thankful to have Meg to help me when I needed it. Love Chris
P.S. The gold top that Ophelie has on was Amy's year 10 formal outfit. There is a long skirt to match it. Ophelie is 13 and Amy was 16 when she wore it! I can't believe how well Ophelie filled it out.
