HI! I'm so glad you are trying to keep the site going and learning something new. I digitize a little bit, I'm certainly not an expert. It's hard and takes a lot of time. Keep working on it!
Good to see your post here.
Great job Jim, and switching the colors is a good idee I think. Vicky must be so proud of you, for continuing her passion..... May God bless you.
Today I stitched out this design. I digitized it yesterday. I could use a lesson in how to colorize these stitch outs. It was supposed to be light grey and dark grey but I didn't have a dark grey so I substituted black. Doesn't work as the whiskers and mouth are both black. I am thinking it would have worked better if the back part of the body was black and the face was the grey color. All a learning process...Hopefully, you can see the stitch out.
Great job, Jim...I agree to switching the colors so the face is grey and the body black...keep it up you are doing great.
Jim, I wish you so much 'dare I say the word' luck. Vicki IS so proud of you for carrying on her legacy. This, her knitting, her kitties and you were and are her joy. You are so sweet to carry this on. I tried digitizing years ago---90's!, then a little more current like maybe 3-4 yrs ago. No, it isn't easy--after my little chicks had their heads chopped off I gave up--I never gave it much of a try though. Bless you and your efforts. I look forward to seeing your design. I am now in recovering stages of my 2nd time around cancer of a different kind. I feel blessed every single day.
Great news, Jim! Thanks for letting us know. I have tried to buy a few designs from your website but the checkout wasn't working. Could you do something about it, please?
Well wishes!
Hugs, Lidia
Hi Lidia...I received sales using sales from PayPal as well as Stripe this week so please give it another go and let me know if you have further concerns. You can reach me right away by using the contact page on the website. Jim
Jim, I can't see the image... I'm so excited for you to be learning to digitize.
Jim, I was so happy to see your post! I am proud of you for continuing Vicki's work and I'll bet she is too. Keep up the good work and before you know it, you'll be digitizing in your sleep. :)
I miss Vicki every moment. I talk with her at least 2 to 3 times a day. I know she hears me because I get a chill from head to toe when her soul is present. I have a long way to go, in my opinion but it is going ok so far. The most difficulty I have is running her commercial machine. The bobbin gives me much displeasure.
Hi ...Me again. Thank You for your purchase. I am glad to see everything worked out for you.
Good to hear from you, Jim. I am super proud of you for trying to learn digitizing. I can barely get on a computer and don’t understand programs but you are already knowledgeable in all that so you should do well. I’m cheering you on!
Jim - I think often of you and Vicki when I see your email come to me each week. But what a wonderful thing you are doing...keeping her memory in our lives, and yours too. I tried to digitize - only once and decided that others had that talent that I could not grasp.
Digitizing is truly an art. Vicki had it but I can only keep trying. I am sure it too will come. Jim
Jim, it’s so good to see you post. You have always been a big part of Cute so good to have you posting. Kudos to you for learning to digitize. I couldn’t digitize if my life depended on it. Keep practicing and we are looking forward to seeing your creation. We have been keeping you and the kitties in our prayers.
Thank You for the prayers. It is lonely without my angel beside me in the physical sense. I will keep practicing. I know it will come. I am also fortunate that I can study the designs that Vicki created to help me understand how she engineered her designs.
Jim, how wonderful to see you here! I am proud of you for taking on learning to digitize! We understand that you have a lot on your plate right now. I think of your beautiful angel every day. Hope to see you here more often.
Hi Jim...so happy to hear from you and very cool that you are learning to digitize. It does take time and there is a lot more to it than many realize...I totally understand those "pesky" jumps that shouldn't be there. So looking forward to seeing what you have been working on...
I am learning from John Deere. He teaches a lot of how to correctly digitize lettering to start and in that portion talks a lot about eliminating jump stitches, but there is only so much you can do. His idea is to put a run stitch in instead of jump stitches. I totally understand his point of view but it doesn't always make sense to add a running stitch. I will do my best to limit the number of jump stitches and color changes. Jim
Congratulations on learning a new task...It is an adventure to learn. Prayers for you
It is so good to hear from you again. I have been wondering how you managed to keep things going so well on your own. The post below by graceandham may have some helpful tips for you. Please take care of yourself.
Hi JIm, Good to see you here. If you don't get the results you really want eventually, consider what other hubbies have done. Some sell the site. Others have sought out digitizers/designers to take over that side of it (you could talk to the man at Designs by SICK) and keep providing the tech and customer support. You are taking on a big task trying to do it all, especially the cooking! Wishing you the best and praying for you in your sorrow. Your words at the time of her death told me that you will make it through just fine, as you understand that your separation from her is temporary. May God continue to bless and protect you.
Thank You for your tips re what others have done. I thought about farming out the digitizing but haven't come to that conclusion as yet. I may subscribe to one of those food services that deliver meals but I tried Hello Fresh and you still have to prepare the meal which takes time and then there is still the clean up. We believe in life after earth so I will be with her again one day. Also Thank God for the grief support group. They are wonderful people. Again thank you for your kind words and your prayers. Jim
Thanks for stopping by, Jim! I have always wished I had the talent to digitize! Keep up the hard work - you'll be a pro!!!
Jim lovely to see you here. Digitising takes time and effort so congratulations that you are getting going with it. Vicki was very talented. I look forwards to seeing what you have created
