All of these quilts are a tribute to the men/women who served us all. My Dad was a lifetime Army man. I wished I had known all he went thru in WWII. He wouldn't talk about it. It wasn't until shortly before he died that I found a picture of him in the Air Force too. His 3 brothers were all in Air Force. When I asked him about it he just bubbled up nearly crying and couldn't talk. I didn't press further. I wished all of America had given more tribute to these brave men and women. You are doing such a fine fine thing---love you for that. Your quilts are wonderful.
You words are very touching. I wish I would have started quilting when my dad was alive. He served too, along with some of my uncles, his brother's body brought home. I would have loved to have presented my dad with a quilt of valor. Thank you for sharing about your family.
What a beautiful quilt for a special Vet. I agree, the star is perfect. Thanks for the countless hours you have given to a special group of folks who have given so much for their country.
I and the others love doing all the sewing for our guys and gals. It is nothing, compared to what they have given, but we want them to know how appreciative we are. We love our servicemen and women, retired or active.
The "pops" of red in the borders and squares really adds to the look of this quilt. I love how you made it work.
Thanks Sharon, I agree the 'pop' really adds interest, otherwise it was pretty mundane or dull looking.
toogie each quilt that you show us is beautiful. You are a quilting inspiration to all of us. Love this as I have loved the others you have made. So many are so lucky to receive work by you or part by you
Thank you for always supporting my efforts. I know this one doesn’t have the wow factor as the 54-40, but each one is unique and I couldn’t let those panel pictures go to waste.
