Spring is well underway here. Daffodils and narcissuses, pinkish red quince, Bridalwreath spirea blooming and one crazy mixed up iris in bud. Today I do not have hands for sewing, as they are caked with potting soil. Did the second "sticking" of sedum Autumn Joy, so I have increased from 4 pots to 13. (About the only plant I'm good at any more. Can't be out in the moist heat later in spring (asthma) so I'm concentrating on early spring and fall. Fabulous temps right now, with a whole load of yellow pollen. Can't even tell my car is burgundy!

My hub had to wash both vehicles, because of the pollen, before we could go to our QOV presentation Thursday. We gave 9 veterans each a quilt, but I go that morning to my meeting and hubby goes after lunch, for the awards. When we got home, I stopped in back, where we make a loop to turn around, at our house. I stopped to get out and take these pictures. When we parked and came inside I told hubby it’s a shame that this azalea and bridal wreath are in the back. We can’t enjoy them like if they’d be at the front, but I planted in the front before and the azalea’s wouldn’t take. Seems they do better around the pine trees.
The bridal wreath has been there for 20 or 30 years. It never was planted. We weren’t home when a friend of my husband’s came and set it down at the corner of the old garage. He had dug it up from his house with a good amount of dirt around the roots. We never moved it and it took root there. I am able to see it from my kitchen window. However, the azalea I can’t see, even though it must be 15 feet or more across! It’s so huge you can’t see the shed on the other side. Well if you look hard you may see the edge of roof, of the shed.
Look at all the leaves! Hubby has chopped them around the house but hasn’t made it this far back yet. He will eventually get them all but staying on the mower too long makes his hips and back hurt. I guess that’s what happens when you get old. He is, I’m not-lol
Enjoy your flowers. My yard just has wisterias blooming, crepe myrtles will be later.

I admit, I love spring Enjoy your flowers and potting soil. That’s the best dirt to play in. I understand about not being out in the pollen. I have the same issues. Right now we are enjoying (not) pine pollen which is a lovely shade of green. So much for keeping a white car clean. Hehe.
