What a great idea. No wonder you did not want to donate the first one. This could be used with so many different themes. Thank you for the inspiration.
The first one had more reds and the green ball prints. I really liked it, but then, it was promised. After getting the orange fabric & also making it bigger I decided to make the basketball and also embroider the life size baseball. Rylan saw it and likes it so he may get it if mom wants. Thanks and good to see your avatar!
Great quilt!!Hard to fine ones that the boys want----you knocked this one out of the park!!!!!!!!!!11
Wow! Toogie, this is so colourful. I love how you have put it together and the appliques set it off so well. I hope your GG son (whoever gets it) will love it. Well done, love Chris
I'm still only able to see small pictures but you are the queen of quilts. Love it.
Absolutely wonderful! Your stash of fabric must be amazing!! Hugs!
I try to use mostly from my stash, but I recently bought the orange, green and gray. Thanks
Another stunning quilt as made by toogie. I am constantly amazed by your creative output. Enjoy it while it is still with you and hopefully there isn’t a fight as to who is going to have it
Lol-I have been stumped for ideas the last few days as to how to make two Marine veterans a quilt. Sometimes I have to wait longer for an idea than it takes to make the top. Thanks
Love your quilt and esp. how you have the squares so they are not square on (each row being set so they hit in middle of previous and next rows). You are so creative. Enjoy until you loose it to a Great GS and then perhaps have to make more for the others. ;-)
Shh! I messed up on placement of squares in half row strips below basketball and above Play Ball, but don’t tell anyone, shh 🤫 just between you and me-lol I didn’t design the pattern but if you want it just Google Play Ball quilt pattern. It’s free!
Thanks for tip on pattern, and I will definitely be quiet ;-), but as I go look again . NO, you planned that way, Right? ;-)
I think that each of the quilts I work on is my new favorite, and it is hard to give away once it is done, even when I set out to make it as a gift.
I think you did a fantastic job of your quilt! You should put it on your bed and break it in before a family member talks you out of it! :)
When I finish quilting it I will text them in a group message and say it’s up for grabs. However if no one claims it, like no one claimed my blue quilt a few years ago, I may consider trying to sell it.
I usually don’t have a problem donating quilts I am clearly making for others , but there have been a few exceptions. I think I get attached for different reasons. Thanks
