Bummer! Are you supposed to wear a cast of some kind? It looks like it hurts. Relax, take it easy... spring is here and you know the world needs you! Get better soon!
My daughter took this picture while we were waiting on her daddy to get ready. She had came help me get washed up and he had to too bc we were both dirty from yard working and digging in flower beds. I haven’t slept so much as I’m sleeping now. I fall asleep in my chair during the day and sleep all night. All this laying up seems a waste of time I think but I will just have a lot of catching up to do.
Thanks all for prayers, comments and well wishes. I am sleeping pretty good and taking Aleve for pain. I know it will just take time, as I’ve broken my shoulder and both long bones under my knee before. I’m just not a good patient about being patient. Surgeries are not an option because my osteoporosis is so bad. I do thank God it wasn’t my hip or back. Doing good this morning, pain is tolerable, thank you. I am sorry not to answer each and every one of your comments this time but rest assured I have read them all and love and appreciate every one of you. Hope your day is good. ❤️Toogie
My goodness Toogie, I pray you have a quick recovery. Chris said everything perfectly so I will just say "God bless" you.
My goodness girl, you don't do things half-hearted!! I hope that you can get it set in a cast to immobilise the break at least. You will need to keep it safe so as not to hit it against things too. As others have suggested hot and cold compresses will help seeing as you can't take drugs for the pain. I pray that your time "off" from quilting will be spent looking at new patterns and getting your family to sort out the fabrics for you. God bless you and speed up your recovery. Love Chris
Sorry to hear that you broke your wrist! I hope it heals quickly so you can get back to making all of your awesome quilts and other things for your grandchildren.
Ouchie!! That looks painful,... So sorry you are in pain. Prayers to help you heal quickly. We love seeing you work. Suzanne
Oh no Toogie! So sorry to hear your pain. Keeping you in my prayers. Hugs. Nan
So sorry to hear this Toogie. I will pray for a quick recovery. Hugs
Oh NO, Toogie! We ar not supposed to fall and break things! It looks really bad... I hope you can at least ice it. I am so sorry you are going to have to go through all this.. PT may help after it heals. Try to read some books.. maybe quilt books. Love and prayers, Jan
Toogie I did the same and had to have my wrist in a cast for 6 weeks. At that time I was told that these kind of breaks can cause problems if not taken care of properly . I hope you are seeing a orthopedic doctor.
Keeping you in prayers and hoping for fast healing. Hugs
Not your finest looking work, darling! I'm so sorry and especially that you can't take meds for it. Can you ice it or apply heat, or alternate them? I am taking your name to the Lord just to remind him of his great love for you! Patience is not our strong suit, is it? This may be a long test for you.
So sorry, I broke my wrist last April working in the yard. I had to have surgery. I am doing well now. Wishing you speedy recovery.
Toogie, I just read this!!! I am so sorry for your wrist accident! After swelling goes down - will they cast it? One of our boys broke his wrist and he ended up in a cast to his elbow. But, being immobilized, it healed quickly and I hope yours does too. I can just imagine how it must throb. I send you prayers dear!! Take it easy and let your family take care of you!! Prayers and many hugs, Laura
Oh toogie I am so sorry to hear your news. Gentle cyber hugs coming your way. I know that your family will rush in to support you. I will have too look forwards to the quilts they produce under your instructions. Please take care and I am also sorry that you are unable to take medication to assist with the pain. Positive thoughts coming your way for a speedy mend and recovery
Oh My, bless your heart. I don't do well with a lot of pain meds, but doctor usually gives me something for the nausea and issues, then a follow up with Tylenol for the headaches they cause me.
Hoping for a speedy recovery, and you just take care of yourself.
Cyber Hugs.
Oh Toogie, I'm so sorry. I'm sure you will be on everyone's prayer list. I'm also sure no one is going to be happy to not see any more of your beautiful quilts while you are healing, so take care and please heal quickly and be safe.
