Finally I made my little travel iron caddy. I haven't placed my little iron in it yet--well not when the pictures were taken. It is in it now and sitting in my sewing room. Have wanted to do this for about 2-3 years and had it all sitting in a zip lock bag cut in parts and ready---another check off my list of things to do. Really was fun to do and quick--it took the longest to understand where to place all markings on the heat resistant silver fabric.

This is such a good thing to have for iron transport. One of the ladies in our group made one , if I recall correctly, it also was made of sewing novelty fabric on the outside. Nice work, Patti!

Sisters' Common Thread is the place I got it from. There are several video's on YouTube of varying ladies making this. Very fast and easy once your marking is done on the silver fabric. Read instructions carefully.

Thank you Kim. It was fun to do and something a long time coming. I seem to have more energy sewing in a group setting. I had to help a friend first but after getting her to the sewing part I was able to leave her and stitch up my own, telling myself to get it done while in club.

I thought I had put in where I got this--so long ago but never done til now---Sisters'--well,now I have forgotten again---do a search for Sisters' and see if iron caddy jr. comes up---maybe even YouTube. I am lazy right now and don't want to climb stairs right now to look again. It is very quick to do. The most time consuming was drawing the penciled lines on the silver fabric following their instructions.

very nice....I wish we had something close to enjoy sewing with others. We used to have a group of women that got together and did things like this.

My clubs are my only out with other gals for liking to do the hobby I am interested in. I have more energy when I get together with them. I go upstairs at home and I am always interrupted for some reason, have to come downstairs so I just quit. My energy is done when I have to do that. I did love this project.

Thank you Nan. I have so many UFO's and since my cancer diagnosis I haven't bought any extra's. If I don't have it I don't buy it right now. I am slowly getting some energy back so when I get in my group of women I can visit plus sew. I had fun doing this caddy.

I bought that fabric long ago just for this project. Our club finally got around to wanting to make this so my UFO in a zip lock bag finally got made. I love it and so easy to do once you get past the drawing of all the sewing lines, which is a must do thing. Thank you very much.
