It's good to hear you are healing. Not easy with those fragile bones. A very happy belated birthday to Eva. Prayers up for you to soon be stitching away using those ideas of quilts you have stored in that beautiful head of yours.
We went last night to play Farkle with Eva. My sister-in-law Nita came met us too so we would have 4 players. Eva stayed home with Avery since Saturday until tomorrow. Ashley, Grayson, Nora and Gus went to friends in Texas. Ashley has been hoping to get Avery a caregiver to help but hasn’t found the right one yet. My husband helped lift Avery to bed before we left. Eva ‘thought’ she would just lift Avery herself and she did to put her in her chair. She realized how much harder that was too late. She couldn’t get the lift harness on to put her back in the bed so that’s why she needed help. Ashley had told her to call us if she needed anything and we told her too. Avery laughed at them trying to get her in bed and she also laughed earlier in the evening when I joked and asked her , “What have you two girls been into?” Eva goes back to Spain in June.
Ah, how sweet you are! I’m doing mostly good. It’s been over 4 weeks and I’m still bruised. When it hurts it hurts, but a lot better and I’ve been taking over the counter something at night to help me sleep. You know I can’t tolerate prescription pain meds. Anyway, looking forward to going Wednesday to dr. Hopefully, it won’t be 8 weeks like he originally said….
Yesterday or rather last night most of the family went out for Eva’s ( our ‘adopted’ granddaughter from Spain) birthday celebration. She just completed her first year of college, where she is double majoring and has remained on the Dean’s or President’s list all year. She was involved in a lot of activities but is a bright and serious student. We enjoyed getting out and being with family and friends. Thank you for thinking of me and my quilts. I have four finished ( beforeI fell) that will be presented this coming week. Two are still active duty and 2 others that served 10 years then joined again. I love making the quilts as much as giving them and they seem happy to receive them, so a win, win, win, all around.
Amen to that! Hope you are doing well Toogie. Check in soon. Hugs. Nan
I go back Wednesday to the orthopedic. I’m so ready to sew again but I don’t know if my wrist is. Hoping for good news. We have been getting rains/thunderstorms and my arm aches. I guess it’s these osteoporosis bones.😩 Thanks for thinking of me.
yes I am as well but I am pretty sure that she is busy planning more quilts and working out how to sew them. Toogie we miss you but take care and keep on healing
Yes, keep planning all you want, but continue to give that arm a rest. Gentle hug.
Thank you both for your sweet thoughts. I have planned my next two quilts but other than that, just storing up ideas. We had to go to Walmart this week and I couldn’t resist buying fabric. I know not much of it is quilt shop quality but I loved the colors. Hubby didn’t say anything about I can’t even sew because he knows what a struggle I’m having to get through this convalescence. Anything sewing related to make me happy-lol
