Hello Cuties! Just checking in to say, I have been busy and hope I have caught up on most recent birthdays. If I missed yours, I do hope you had a good one.
I have been going to therapy and also last week, I had the grandkids for the week. It was ok, some days longer than others, because dad works for the railroad, odd hours. Now I am keeping them the weekend.
My daughter had hoped when she accepted this "gig' that Avery would have a caregiver. Well, the wheels turn slow, as the saying goes and FINALLY after a year, in the last few days a caregiver will be coming for a few hours a week.
Ashley knows we can't lift on Avery anymore but worked it out that tomorrow night the caregiver will stay. She will have to get Avery up & dressed before she leaves Sat morning. Since the hours are short, she won't stay all weekend so....she offered to come get Avery ready for bed Sat night for me and also come change her when needed. She is doing that on her own bc she lives close by ans knows the gov won't pay until Avery gets full care.
That being said, I want to tell you where Ashley, Grayson and his mom, are going for the weekend. They were asked to play for Julia Johnson's wedding this weekend! (not Grayson) I would be so nervous! I don't know where Ashley gets all her confidence, but not from me, for sure. I put a link up in case you don't know who she is. (By the way, Julia's grandfather is my husband's first cousin.) We saw the grandfather and her dad often, as they worked the same school we worked at, but once her dad married and moved away, her mom and dad divorced and we never saw Julia or her siblings.
Anyway, think of me this weekend with the kids and running back and forth. I'm not sure if I will stay at their house Saturday night or bring them here. Ashley is leaving her handicap van for me, if I do want to bring them here during the day. It's hard to leave my old man alone these days. Who knows, he might use a knife and need to go to the ER again-lol Jokes aside, I do hope nothing happens to anyone, me included.
Have a nice day, Toogie
