Hi Cuties!

I needed to get this Mexican Star done and I wanted to quilt it like one of the quilts Eleanor Burns had made. I started out trying to ruler quilt, but about 3 maybe 4 white blocks quilted, I thought I couldn’t do anymore, my wrist was hurting so bad. So, I started quilting free hand, without the ruler. Some stitching lines are better than others, but overall, it’s not bad. I do like the quilting showing on the back. The quilt is soft but heavy. It’s about 75 x 95. I used high loft batting. I told my husband it looks like houses on the gray back edges. The quilting on the edges along with the color of the border reminds me of a sweater. I know I showed you the top before but now I wanted you to see how I quilted it. I hope you like it as well as I do, now it’s done. ❤️Toogie

Ooh! Toogie, this is just gorgeous!!! I love how it feels as if you are looking at the star shapes through a stained glass window. Another superb quilt. God bless your busy hands and I hope they are getting better. Mine are getting arthritis and I don't like it. Love Chris

Thank you. Since we both have birthdays in a few weeks, it seems aches & pains are our presents-😉

Hi amazing toogie the express quilter. My ironing pile and sewing pile are mounting up waiting but you keep on quilting with such superb quilts. I obviously need to move faster and make more use of my time. Yes this is as beautiful each side

The back is as beautiful as the front. I love the pattern the quilting produced. I would be showing off both front and back. I hope your wrist is feeling much better now.

It is. I used Voltaran arthritis cream on it the last few nights. I think either side can be used. I think adding a foot runner or throw pillows in a theme such as Christmas, fall etc would look good on the gray side up. Thanks for looking!
