I love hearing good news and congrats for doing so well. Keep up the healing but be sure to spend plenty of time resting too. and yes, please keep us updated.
What good news! You show them how quickly you can get back to doing your own thing. It's important not to lie around when you've had that type of surgery.
Wonderful news. I love that we now have the option of joint replacements. Just think if it was in the "olden" days, no chance for a better life. Glad you are doing your PT, it is so important and so is rest and good thoughts. I am considered bossy too, if I wasn't, how would anyone in this house know what to do? Happy healing.
haha...my daughter is a RT, and involved in a lot of things we do, and hubby calls her "Sarge" because she is so 'bossy" and straight to the point. LOL
Great news keep up the good work... I found the hip replacement not bad The knees are so much harder to get back on your feet... I start PT next week for my 2nd knee. replacement. keep on moving you heal quicker. Suzanne
Oh, no. I am possibly having to look at knee replacement. I have had a lot of issues with the knee on the same leg as the hip replacement. I guess I will learn on Monday when I see my surgeon.
That's wonderful news. Keeping you in my prayers for continued healing. Hugs. Nan
So glad you are on the other side and healing well... Hoping for your full and speedy recovery!
Wonderful news!! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!! Keep up the good work - do what the doctor orders but not anything more - you don't want to regress! Keep us updated on your progress! Prayers continued, Laura
Congratulations. But, don't over do. Rest is essential for healing. Praying for you..
Congratulations that you are now out the other side of your op and that great progress has been made. Excellent news
I’m so glad to hear you are progressing well. Don’t overdo though bc you don’t want a set back. I do understand totally about being independent. I think we are so used to doing for everyone that we sometimes are misunderstood and do come across bossy. It is just in our nature to do for ourselves and others. Do take care and wish you a troublesome free healing.
Even when you think you are through with your cane, keep it in your car, for days that turn out to be long or when you feel worn out. Are you remembering to boost calcium for bone building? Yogurt, ice cream, milk shakes, cream of whatever soups, kale, spinach and other greens, broccoli. Ask your doctor how long it takes for bone to be rebuilt!
I do carry a cane in my car, as I needed it prior to surgery. I was started back on my supplements on Monday, and our daughter is making sure that we get a healthy meal each day. Plus....we have plenty of left-overs from what she has brought.
