I live in hard hit Hendersonville NC. I stayed with my sister near Bat Cave/Chimney Rock and we were stranded by a mud slide blocking the road one way out and a washed out bridge the other way out. We were isolated for nine days without power, cell service or water. We were fortunate though as our personal losses were few. The response from all areas of the country, various government agencies and the military has been overwhelming and inspiring. We are grateful and thankful. There have been a few issues with unfortunate false rumors but we are managing to overcome those also. I wish to thank everyone for their support and prayers. Love to all!
Wow! That was a lot of stress. Glad things are better now and you can start getting back to normal life.
I know jrob is OK but has limited internet for now. I believe Lillian is OK as she posted in Facebook. I hope all our Cute members are OK and just unable to post for now. Thank you toogie. I love the way you love people!
Thanks for letting us know about these Cuties. I saw maleah with the Hawaii advatar posted a birthday wish so she must be out of harms way. I think she lives in Tenn.
Thanks for reminding us to check with Cuties in these areas.
I think one Cutie's avatar is sewinslo, or something like, that and I think she was from the mountains of Tennessee. I know we have more Cuties from Tenn but not sure where in relation to the hit areas. The news footage and filming show so much devastation. My heart goes out to them all.
Was just now able to speak with my dear friend who moved to the North Carolina Mountains and they are fine, and neighbors, houses, cars, kids, boats, etc. I have agonized and prayed about her family for days. They were without power and communications for about five days. Wishing the best for everyone.
I spoke to a friend that lives in Georgia too, today and she and her family were untouched. She said it hit 30 miles away from them. Glad your friends are okay too. Thanks Betsey.
