Thursday evening I flew to Norway, to my daughter's. I took some yarn and needles with me, just in case. So I started knitting a hat - picture 1. Friday morning my daughter took me to a wool factury. Once in a while they have end-of-line sales. Sometimes when the colour baths are slightly different. Esther knew there was a sale on with 50% off the regular prices. Guess what - see picture two.

Finished the hat today. So should I be bored when she is at work I know what to do - lol.
Oh and Eshter had seen a scarf - showed me a picture and could I please make something a bit similar.

Wonderful that you could spend some time with your daughter and her family!! Added bonus to be able to catch a sale like that and another bonus to spend one-on-one time with your granddaughter! Your talents always amaze me! Hugs to you!

Thank you. You'r right about the family time. I am grateful I can still travel at my age and visit my children. And get pampered. Hugs to you.

You do such a fine job that is why you have so many requests. The bright yellows appeal to me but all will be pretty when you make them up. Enjoy your visit!

Thank you. I am enjoying my visit and this week it's school autumn vacation in Norway so I have my granddaughter for company while her parents are at work.
I am trying to reduce my stash but as you can see I failed (again). But I managed to return a pack of 8 before I went to the till to pay for my goodies. :)

I love the things that were handmade for me. Such treasures I hold dear now that they are gone from this world.

So do I. Have quite a few.
As for this stay: Esther and I always have sewing and embroidery projects together. Which we both love. Usually she sends me a digitising request beforehand. I always take my laptop that has the embroidery software on it with me. So any change (or new idea) can be realised easily.

When my mother came to visit, I asked her to arrange flowers - what she was good at, that I was not good at.

It's always nice to do things together and get tips and tricks. My grannies were both knitters and I learned a lot by just watching them.
