Medium weight tear away stabilizer should be fine if you use 2 layers. I always use tear away on everything and have had no problems. Sulky thread should also be fine if you have had no trouble with them before. Some mahines don't like them. They work fine on my Janome. Have you cleaned under your plate on your machine. That can get very dusty and chocked up with residue from stabilizers and fabric and glue. This is the single most common reason with problems apart from blunt needles.
If the design u are using is a small one try it on a different material & if it sews well then u know it is the material & or Stabalizer. Also try slowing your machine down. *4u
Have my machine on 1 for speed and I tried 2 differnt types of stabalizer. I think it is just the design.
All freebies r not created equal nonmusic mom & it does pay to try out a design before actually sewing on whatever U r going to do. It might very well b your stabalizer. I usually use med wt stabalizer with the flannel & often use WSS on top. Sorry U have had problems 84U
I am sewing on an extra scrape of the same material. Tried lots of changes. Must be the design. Thanks for the help.
I have never downloaded from that site. I have found that with some flannel, I do better if I starch it and use a spray adhesive to attach the tear-a-way. I then float another piece below of the same tear a way. Hope you get it resolved.;)
I joined this site a few weeks ago haven't had a chance to stitch anything out as yet. They have a lot of patterns, hopefully they are ok.
Thats great to hear,i will try a tiger embroidery tonight. I am looking for something to put on a bag holder, the long skinny ones that you keep all the reuseable bags in.
yes i would also try different stabelizer but yes sometimes it is the design
Try using a diferent type of strabilizer, maybe cutaway. Although they have many freebies I have never downloaded from their site so I can't say it is the design. Good luck *
Emblibrary's patterns stitch out so well compared to most other digitizers, that they are hard to compare to in my books. I agree with trying a different stabilizer. That might give you better results.
I think you need to let the site know - you are having trouble - or maybe you need a heavier stablizier. Try doubling it - on one design. *4U
