tanuja, I believe it is based on the ability of your machine - with mine - I can enlarge to my largest hoop size and preserve the details of the design - with a feature - however if I don't use that feature - the design is a mess. Can't wait to view your project. *4U
I can enlarge on my Emroidery machine, Janome MC300E, but only 20 percent.
I have a Bernina, and Bernina Artista Software and as long as it is and "A" design (which is usually digitized with Artista Softward) I can enlarge it to fit my largest hoop and the stitch density changes as it is enlarged (or reduced).
dear jrob , i too have a bernina(aurora440), and Editor lite V4, any idea what, arethe abitities of this?.thks
It seems that different programs are capable of different enlarging amounts. I find that if you enlarge to much you lose all details.
I don't know what software you used to enlarge it, but as a general rule it's best not to expect too much if the enlargement is big. Adelmarie is right: always try a test stitch-out, but NEVER forget to do that when you have changed a pattern.
thks ,will do a test next time not take a risk if am not sure of the out come , i think i was lucky this time.
I am afraid I do not know the answer to this question, I re-sized some designs about a 30% and I turned out to be a complete mess, stitch density way too thick and the registration was off. Dont know I just did something grong but surely know that messed up the jacket I was embroidering on as I was naughty and did not do any test stitching. I learned from this one to always test stitch. Hope you find the correct answer, meanwhile *4U
