My heart goes out to you
I know the lack of service of Janome in my neck of the woods I am looking for someone I trust to service mine ,I love my Machine but not the service I got , good luck sweetie
Minnie, if you're anywhere near Mt Gravatt Sewing Centre I believe they have a good mechanic 07 3349 8999 Des & Dot Craven are the owners and very helpful. hugs n roses, M
Good luck Meg I also have 4 off there machines
You have 4 Elna's ? or 4 Janome's?
How did your move go, all settled in now?
Loving it I hope. hugs n roses, friend, M
Hi cutie i also live in Australia {QLD], hopefully i don't have this problem with my Janome, good luck
Don't worry Toet, Janome machine's are not Elna's, but Janome have taken over the Elna company and are now responsible for the new Elna's. Mine is an Xquisit 2 manufactured by Elna and imported by Jackson's not Janome. Confused? If you bought a Janome machine from Janome, you shouldn't have any problems, they're like Holdens, parts readily available. hugs n roses and welcome to Cute, Meganne
Good Luck Meg, hope you get it back soon. Just look at it on the bright side, while you wait you will have time to digitize some more. xoxo
Thanks Adel, I've discovered there is life outside the house, daylight too... hahahaha! hugs n roses, M
The best of luck to you my dear, I hope it will soon b back & n top notch condition *4U
Thank you all for your wonderful support! She's on her way so nothing to do now but wait.
hugs n roses to all, M
I do hope they honor your warranty........My prayers are with your machine and you. Good luck.........
oh meganne, What an ordeal. I hope they honor your warranty. We will bad mouth them if not!! Only advise I would give if you were here in USA, would be to insure with postal for full value. Our postal system is not always reliable. I used to work in a jewelry store and always insured for full value and signed receipt of every thing we mailed. If someone said they didn't receive it, we had it covered. Good luck sweetie.
That's great advice Katy, but she's going door to door by TNT, in Aus they're equivalent to your DHL, so i'm hoping she'll be pretty safe. I don't think ANY postal system is truly reliable, especially for something as big as this.
hugs n roses, M
William Jacksons have always been a good company to deal with, have been there many times with my industrial machines. There workshops are full of all bits and pieces, so hopefully they should be able to fix your machine. Really there is little that can o wrong [apart from electronics] in a machine. Check before sending machine that it is not clogged up with cottons- aound flywheel, bobbincasing etc.
That's comforting to know. When I spoke to Peter J, before i bought my Elna, he seemed extremely nice. I have checked the machine so many times, but she's as clean as a whistle, truly only stitched 24 designs and I clean after every use, that's why my Supermatic has lasted 40 years without even a new light globe. I kept praying i would find something so i wouldn't have to send her away, but nothing!! Oh well, i'm sure they'll find something. Hugs n roses, M
I'm back from a week in Vic. Meg if you want call me . You might be able to finish on my machine. Or you can spend your time now digitising ?
that is very nice of you i would offer also but that would be a far trip tennessee usa here lol
Thanks so much Pauline, that is really nice of you to offer, but stupidly i had moved the design and didn't record the increments so, even on my machine, i think i'm in for trouble lining it up again, especially since Jackson's wanted me to send EVERYTHING back including hoops. Who knows why???!!! hugs n roses, M
Last week my brother Galaxie 2000 died and I brought the new Innovis 1200 which has a 5 year warranty and I hope I don't have as much trouble as you did with getting yours fixed if anything goes wrong. I know how you feel its like having your right arm chopped off. Heres a flower to cheer you up..
Oh i do so empathise with you, and i'll send you Good Luck hugs for a loooooong and trouble free life with your new baby. hugs, roses and Shamrocks, Meganne
Oh Meganne, I do hope they fix it fast and for FREE... It's horrible to be w/out a machine and worse not knowing what's wrong ...
Hope all goes well and the problem has a happy conclusion. *4U
Hope all goes well for you and you get your machine back quickly and good as new.A flower 4 u and good luck bear too
Hey, Meg, so glad you got some good response from someone, at least. I hope you get to shout their praises when they find out it was a whatsamazoot that was installed backwards at the factory, hee hee hee. Maybe they're a bit iffy because they get lots of folks who don't know how to clean their machines, etc. & expect them to be fixed free when they didn't maintain them right. I hope so, anyway. I'm so lucky my Janome dealer is only 12 miles down the road!!! And they are patience personified with me when I drag my baby in there for stupid things ("it's making a noise". Dealer:"it's supposed to make that noise, it's sewing." duh) Best of luck to you, hope you have a nice morning, and good news when they look at your machine. Luv ya, Marji
ROFLMBO!!!! It's so good to share a laugh, thanks Marji, luvs you too. hugs n roses, M
It sounds like you are getting what most all of the businesses like to give as long as they have their money...Hope that it gets back to you soon so you can relax.
Meg....so sorry! This stinks, but at least you are working toward a solution....Pack a bag, sweetheart and I'll move over and share my space with you until your baby comes home.;)
Do hope you get satisfaction Meganne & a 'good as new' machine returned to you.
Well, I sincerely hope they solve your problem and you'll have your baby back in no time. Hope you can keep yourself busy with sewing projects, ready for new embroidery! Hugs flower.
