Françoise, so happy to see you posting. I believe that Ricky gave you the answer that I would have - so I will just leave you with a flower.
If you deside to do your embroidery in the hoop style you need to make sure you cut the bacing 2 inches larger than the top and batting. This is what you will use when you piece your blocks together.
One of our experts answered your question francoisen. She is wonderful & has posted some of the most beautiful quilts I have ever seen. Hope U get it all sorted out. *4U
Ricky has given you such a great answer that I will just say Good luck ,whichever you decide to do. A flower for you.
Quilt blocks are the squares in a quilt. They can be pieced, appliqued, embroidered or quilted. Quilts in the hoop generally means you quilt while the quilt or block is in the hoop as in machine embroidery. I have just looked sat the site. Some of the tile designs can be embroidered on squares then the squares, or blocks, joined together. Then the quilt is quilted. The other tiles can be all done in the hoop, ie the quilt block is completely done in the hoop. This usually means the top square, the wadding and the backing are done as one. If this is not real clear, email me. My email is in my profile.Ricky
