take the books apart and start sewing. I've made some coasters that turned out great. I haven't decided what to make out of the sheer fabric yet. Any ideas are welcome.

Sometimes there are larger panels as well that were displayed as short curtains and so on. The books then give quite a number of contrasting trims. Nice for cushion covers as well, same colour designs are excellent.

I often collect off cuts and samplers from upolstery works and i get them free they hAve great off cuts and some of the samplers are large enough for tote bags etc.
Sheers make great food covers for picnic's and BBQ's and netting on dolls basinetts.

Macheldon that's a great idea. If you use the heavy upolstery fabric you wouldn't have to line it. My shopping bags are going to be much more decorative now. Welcome to our CUTE family. *4U

You could use the sheer fabrics with disolving stabilizer to make bookmarks.

I hadn't thought of that. I'll have to try it out.

I love bags. Since the books are put together in coordinate sets stitch some together and make a simple bag and add a lining.

They come in books that have to be taken apart. The sheers are 8x12 and the drape and furniture fabric pieces are 11x18. The books I have also have clear plastic sections that can be used also. I was in town and walked into a furniture store and asked if they had any discontinued fabric books that they would like to get rid of. I know some places sell them but this store had so many that they were happy to get rid of them.

How large are these pieces? I am looking for a source for drapery sample sell outs, or discontinued styles. a friend just happened upon one locally, but they were only for a limited time. Any leads appreciated. J.

How about the organza applique designs that cute has been giving us lately. Would be a good way to test one. Tell us "Cuties" how you got them. Imagine they are heavy to mail if it includes the book covers, or is it just metal rings grouping them together. The following image is my problem!!!
