Wow! It is beautiful! What a nice quilt! I love Missi's work. She is just so talented, and generous. I just can't move on to another project. This one is really awesome. I love the way you framed the designs. I love the fringe too. I think that this is a wonderful way to make a quilt. Thanks for sharing it with us. I really is lovely!
Thank you all so much for your comments, glad you liked it. For those of you that are asking how this was done, I followed these instructions but started with 9" squares as I had the candlewick square around my baby designs and I could use my largest hoop and not rehoop, I did the baby design on 2 white flannel squares (1 top and 1 wadding) and then slid the pink under the back and did the candlewick. The pink squares were 1 pink, 1 white (wadding),1 pink sandwiched and the design. No stabilizer needed. Hope this helps...*4all and thanks again. Hugs

You did a beautiful job of your quilt. Rag quilting is my favourite type of quilting and have made a couple dozen quilts. Keep up the lovely work. Trudie
Thank you Trudie do you use flannel or have you done them with plain cotton..thinking of trying a bigger size for my own bed so wondered...
This is simply stunning you deserve millions of *4 this one. May i ask did u use wadding between each square then join all trim back wadding then cut into each seam about 1 inch apart? I tred all this and did it in the dryer with a tennis ball yet i couldn't seem to achieve the eal frilly look around each square - whats the secret?
Thanks blackie see you got your answer on the other picture..the instructions and pictures are very clear and you will no doubt see where you may have gone wrong on your first try..good luck on a new try, be sure and let us see your finished project...hugs
It looks lovely. I never thought I would like rag quilts very much, but this is a beauty!!
What a beautiful quilt. A friend of mine made a double bed rag quilt and she also said the hardest part was cutting the fringes!! *4U
Even with the special spring scissors Shirley it is hard on the hands and a long job. Can't imagine a double bed size, I found I had to stop cutting and rest my hand quite often...
Glenda, very nice and once it is washed and you get that fringe really going - the softer looking it becomes and it will really be a beauty. *4u
Thanks again Shirlene. Couldn't take the time to wash and let it dry I was so anxious to get a picture once it was finished. Since there isn't a baby around waiting for it think I will hold off until I need to use it...
Missi has very kindly put a picture on her web page. Have a look at her designs while you are there she has some real beauties...
