what a wonderful way to share nature.... right outside your window
That is what life is about caring, watching them grow and then letting them fly away. *2U
Isn't it neat! We had some birds nest in one of my many bird houses. Funny, it was the one closest to the house, right out our Sunroom window. We have a pond outside and put a birdfeeder and birdhouse in the garden area around it mainly for decoration. I also watched them for weeks. One Saturday I video taped the bird(s) bringing food to their open mouths. The next day I was up early and they were being fed again but they were coming out to meet their parent for the food and then would go back in. Before long, one would come out and get his bit and when the parent flew off so did the baby bird. All six were caught on video leaving the nest. They have never returned to the nest and it hasn't been used since.
Oh! I'm so glad you also experienced this wonderful nature phenomenon. I think I just wanted to see them one last time.
These were 4 baby birds my cat didn't get. She has brought me 2 baby moles in the last couple of days though.
Isn't it great that God shared that with you and they achieved what God intended for them to do? How lucky are you!
Sweetie and I looked up First Flight on net and they don't come back to the nest once they leave. I just kind of wanted wanted to see them one more time.!!!
I watched these baby birds for almost two weeks. The nest is right outside the window from my computer on the front porch. I watched mommy and daddy bird build the nest, she laid 4 little blue eggs and hatched all 4. Then I watched both feed the babies all day long and every few days I would check on them and take their pictures. One day the babies were so active that I thought they would fall out and two days later they were gone. I miss them.
Isn't it great that God shared that with you and they achieved what God intended for them to do? How lucky are you!
Give ma a minute to post pictures. baby birds in first picture and empty nest in second.
Baby birds in a spider plant! How wonderful to watch from beginning to happy ending. Jackdaws take 'our' eggs before having the opportunity to hatch.
