I got a mess of baby bibs at the dollar store for $1 (duh) and they had plastic/rubber backing. I hooped em with stablizer behind and washaway on top, and it worked great. I did one without anything on the back but the stitching cut thru the rubber backing, and the wss on the front kept the tiny loops from poking thru. Good luck
I have done this with a havy plastic back but not rubber. You've gotten good advice. I always float stabalizer behind something like this rather than hoop, it keeps it from hanging or dragging *4U
If it drags on your machine bed, just float a tear away underneath. As raels said, hooping stabilizer not necessary. I select my needle size this way....First I try the standard 75/11 SHARP then start going up in size if needed. The way I can tell is to hold it in my hand and pierce the project. If it goes through easily (and in some cases, doesn't leave a hole) then that is the needle I use. ;)
Floating the stablizer underneath sound like a good idea so it doesn't drag. Thanks jrob.
Good question, thank you, and thanks for the answer raels, I've learned something new. Flower for both of you.
good question and I see you have an answer. Thanks for asking. *4u
a flower to both of you ladies for the answer AND the keeping it up in line for an answer! I'll try to get it done & post a picture before I mail it back to VA. TKS
I have done bib I found it did not need stabilizer but I put WSS on top and I did hoop it
I have never attempted this before. I just wanted to bump you up so that maybe some one with more experiance can help you out! Everyone is so helpful here!!! Good Luck! Cant wait to see the finished project!
