P.S. On towels the accepted distance from the border is 1 1/2 to 2" or 4 inches from the bottom if there is no border.
You can't go wrong with the advice jrob has given U, Just follow her advice & everything will come out gr8. *4U
I am working on my GD's beach towel at the moment thank goodness the party was postponed til Sunday! I still have 2 designs to go then I will post a photo. Now that I have gotten so much guidance from such wonderful people I am planning on making towel sets for all my children. Perhaps a matching roll of TP not sure tho TP kinda scares me so delicate. Wish me luck! lol *
yes this is a good question...........thanks for asking *4u
There have been lots of towel discussions and we all do them differently. Go up to the search area and type in "Towels" and you will get lots of info to go on. The only hard and fast rule is: Use Water Soluable Stabilizer or WSS on top of the towel to keep down the pokies. You don't want all of your hard work to be buried in toweling. If you want them to match perfectly, measure TWICE, WRITE down your measurements from the 1st towel (in case the phone rings or the doorbell rings, or etc.etc.)then just duplicate the measurement when you start to do the second towel. Remember if the 2 towels aren't exactly the same width your are looking for the center, not an exact measurement, so they will still look the same when enbroidered.;)
Thanks that will make my job easier. I just eyeball it and have been pretty accurate but your way sounds best.
I can't even think about eyeballing it - you must have a great machanical eye!!
This is an excellent question - I'd like to gleem some hints from our wonderful experts here also on how to do towels. Thanks for the question! - a flower for you!!!
Thank You! I hope that we both learn what we need to know to tackle a new project. Good luck to you!
