I'm using a Janome 9700 machine. For me, I test it out on 0 to 2 scale. So far it seem that 1.4-1.5 is the setting for me using the machine. So i will stick to it once stitches turn out great.
Previously, the threads are like looping loosely on top or bottom of the fabrics. so i really try increase/reducing the setting on my machine. i dont look at sewing attributes though.
Thanks for asking this question. I'm going to buy a couple of tutorials from Carolyn Keber. *4U
Back to the top I'm not familiar with the pe-design at all, but there will someone to come along who is sooner or later & they will help U *4U
Carla,
Carolyn Keber is an excellent teacher... I'd recommend her tutorials any day of the week. I have several for Embird and LOVE them.
i read all about her tutorials and it does sound like she makes it simple to understand. thank you.
I usually go to the shop where I purchase all my supplies, they are very knowledgeable and have helped me out many times with things I needed to know but the book does not go into.
Good luck
I'm just doing my first steps with pe-design, but density depends of the fabric ..
That's all I know
i never bought the $100.00 instruction book you can order to really understand pe-design a lot better....i've often thought it would be worth it to get it but just never have...
thanks for your comments and advice.
I don't know this intruction book I only know this
http://welcome.solutions.brother....;c=de&lang=de&prod=hf_design7euk&type2=-1&flang=all&dlid=over 360 pages User intructions
Loes Van Der Heijden wrote the instruction booklet i was talking about but i liked what i read about carolyn keber's tutorials...
thanks for all the bumps. my question is the correct density or general rule on pe-design 6.0 or if you know a good place to ask advice about it on the net... the pe design booklet and manual does not go into it at all.
There is a german yahoo-group, maybe one of them know more

Sweetie, post what machine and software you have. maybe someone will know.
I don't know either but thought there might be an answer. At least my non-answer will get you bumped back to the top and another flower.
Sorry, do not know the answer to this one. Just bumping your question back to top. Good luck
