I think a lot of it is the stabalizer u use. I like basting anything I embroider so it will not move & polymesh. spraystarch is wonderful, & a good steam iron press after it is all done. usually if u have a dimple or 2 the steam press will remove it *4U cindy

How kind to compliment me. I hit and miss and learn the more I do. First wash the t-shirt. I hoop 1 or 2 layers of polymesh. Do not hoop the t- shirt. Spray the stabilizer with adhesive spray and position t- shirt on and pin around edges or use long basting stitches around edges. when you are sure your markers are lined up, remove markers ( I use the adhesive plastic strips that come on ready to ware showing size etc--cut them in 1/4 " strips) Before you start machine, lay a piece of light solvy on top of shirt. After completed, I sometimes wash again, especially if any solvy remains. Then I iron on wrong side fusible knit interfacing on the Granddaughters t- shirts because they say the stitches scratch. It sounds like lots of trouble, but have learned by trial and error. If you look close, you can see iron on interfacing. I am still working on a way it won't show. Any ideas gladly accepted.

I don't clame to be an expert but I do shirts for my Grandson and everyone ask where we get them, os they must be okay. I use a medium weight tear away on the back and I spray it with temp adhevive and then I put wash away on the top of the shirt. I also always pre-shrink the shirts and then iron with spray starch. There is a how to vidio at Embrodiery Library that was very helpful to me. They also have information about proper placement of designs. Good luck.
