I LOVE PAPER DOLLS Such a pity they do not get played with a lot these days. *4U
They are so cute!!!! How do you make the dresses adhere to the doll?Flower for U
I am wanting to do paperdolls for a great-great niece - man, did I say that? Can't believe that I am old enough to have a nephew that is a grandpa! Please let us know what you decide. These are so sweet
They look pretty, all of them, but we can't feel them and for me that's the test for things to play with. I made a number with felt, never tried the lighter material, but that might be better for clothes.
they both look great to me. I believe it will depend on how much support do you want them to have.
They All look fine.I think you have to go for stiffer version so that it can support outfits.*4U
they all look good to me, what do you stitch bear and girl on? which ones have you preferred now that you have tried both ways. This is something I have not done yet,, but hope to one day as I have 2 darling GD's. Please give me some more in put about your choices. Or a good site to read up on doing them.
I got both designs free through Yahoo groups will look and let you know. The dolls are done on timtex which is stiff. This morning I used organza.WWS on top med stabalizer on bottom and when outlining floated a peice of white material on back to cover up stitching. I think this is the way to go.
Thanks I have heard of Timtex but not bought any as yet. These bring back memories.
Lisa, very cute - I really believe either will work - just what works for you - is what is important and what holds up for playing with them. *4U
these are very cute. when you decide which to use let us know.
You seem to trim closer with the organza. I'm guessing that's why you have trimmed away between the legs of the bear and not the girl. They are both cute though. *4u
how precious!!! I cant' see close enough to give you opinion. They all look perfect to me.
they all look good but the lighter fabrics maybe more suitable for dressing Jo
These are so cute. It reminds me of being a kid.
I can't really tell from the picture but I am thinking the organza might not be a bulky as the felt when they try to "dress" the doll. How do the dolls look when dressed in the two different techniques? Are these from Tuckers Treasures? *4U Becky
The girl is from "Stitch It Cheap". I have Eilza's Paperdoll CD's and she is one of those. I also have the bear but can't remember where he came from right now. I think he was a freebiee somewhere at one time.
