__,_.___ Most Dangerous Cake recipe in the World

MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE...the most dangerous cake recipe in the world.
4 tablespoons cake flour or all purpose (plain, no self-rising)
4 tablespoons splenda
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips(optional)
A small dash of vanilla flavoring
1 microwaveable coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well
Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips and vanilla flavoring... and mix again.

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake
will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a
little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT! (this can serve 2 if you
want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we
are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or
night!

I really wanted to try this, despite the fact that it is almost midnite here. But, unfortuanately no flour in the house :( Thank you for sharing and one day I will try, but with applesauce as I always replace oil with apple sauce, then add less sugar.

Well I made a chocolate one (reduced sugar) for Nan Nan and you should have seen her eyes light up!!! So worth it!
Then I made a vanilla one with white chocolate buddies and coconut for DH, he said it was good but I notice he hasn't touched the second half of his. Hmmm?
Then I made a coffee, coconut & cinnamon one for me, sacharin and soy milk couldn't even spoil it though whipped cream would've been nice, (damned allergies!!!)
So this morning i went out and bought a nice, tall coffee mug more suitable for the purpose and when my Sister comes over we will both be able to have our favourite choice, whipped up while the kettle boils!!!
Thanks for Sharing Emily, all my good intentions to lose a few lbs have now been blown right out the window. hugs n roses, Meganne

Oh yummy!! I knew from the title that it must be
chocolate. (It's kind of a joke in this family, my
fixation with chocolate.) Will certainly have to try
this. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

We tried this yesterday and in a pinch it will take care of the chocolate attack monster. We used gluten frree flour. Next time I will try cake flour.

I'm hostes for the next Red Cross meeting and have to have treats and a gift. I think I'll make one of these for everyone and kill 2 birds with one stone (so to speak). I can get everyone a mug at the dollar store. Thanks.

What a great idea.. the ideas are endless...

Some times if you tell the owner that it is for a charity organization they will donate the mugs. Also lots of thrift stores will donate mugs to you.

Definitely sounds like a balanced meal to me - especially if you use apple sauce like pafhen suggested, haha.

Love, hugs and flower for you emily sweetie. Also a cup of coffee to go with the cake!

I tried it out - only used half the oil and sugar because we don't get Splenda. Baked it in a soup mug. It is delicious - I did share it 3 ways!! *4U

ok cutee's I couldn't pass this one up. I used 12 pks of splenda, didn't have the whole bag. That only measured to 2 tbls. of splenda. Looked like enough to me. I put this in the large cup (like a soup cup) I can not beleive how good this is. Next time, apple sauce instead of the oil. This is a super quick fix for chocolate.
Thanks Emily

You are welcome.

pafhen by pafhen 23 Aug 2008

Well the apple sauce even made it better than using the oil.... Next time it will be honey instead of splenda.

nonmusicmom by nonmusicmom 24 Aug 2008

Will try the apple sauce for moisture.

This sounds wonderful. I have one little problem with it. I can't use splenda (makes me sick). How much sugar or honey could I use instead?

Is Splenda that artificial sweetener? If it is, 4 tablespoons sounds like Way too much, wouldn't that be equivalent to 8 cups of sugar???
And if it isn't sweetener, what is it?
Different ingredient names downunder,,, LOL!

No - Splenda measures like sugar - and is the artificial sweetener, but good to cook with. They also make brown sugar, but it is measured at 1/3 what you would use in regular brown sugar.

raels011 by raels011 23 Aug 2008

Splenda is artificial sweetner I get it at Woollies in Australia

meganne by meganne 24 Aug 2008

Thanks Raels, don't remember ever seeing it here but if it's made from sugar i wouldn't use it anyway (for me) as Sugar gives me migraines so i have to have sacharin type sweeteners, And yes it is really tough when i need a sugar or chocolate fix, i'm allergic to milk too. Somehow Carob, sacharin and soy milk don't seem quite as appealing. LOL!!!

OH MY GOODNESS! This is NOT helpful when on Weight Watchers!! But I bet I give it a test run!! At least it uses Splenda!!

I was going to put this in my E-tools, but forgot my password. Have to e-mail them. I plan on trying to substitute applesauce instead of the oil - and whole wheat flour - wonder what that would do to it? Make one for hubby as recipe, and the modified one for me?

Sounds good. I can't have wheat but I have other baking flour that I can try. I don't usually bake for me because no one else in the family will eat the items made with the substitute flour and it goes bad before I can eat it all. I have tried freezing things but they come out nasty. This way I can make just one serving and be done. Going to try tonight. Thanks
