Anyone need tile layed? I spent yesterday helping my neighbour do her kitchen. It looks great. Just have to wait for my fingers to heal and I'm all set for the next job.

Guess I need to make a list of Who, What and Where. Fees are reasonable. I accept fabric, thread, stabilizer, no VISA OR MasterCard. Sign-Up sheet to follow. LOL

Oh do I know about this!!! I took out the kitchen and hallway carpet (yes, carpet!) and put in tile... thought I was going to die when I finished... oy vey!!!!

Sure, I could come with a few tasks for you. I would be careful about letting that out. People might really want you too, and it is a hard job. That was very nice of you bail you friend out of a tight spot. I'm sure she appreciated it. How sweet!

I'd be hurting for days after doing something like that. lol

She hired someone to do it and we spent the whole day fixing everything they did. I think they are getting their tools back when they show up again but I don't think she is going to pay them for the entire job. Opened my big mouth and said we could fix it in a day or two. It's all fixed and now I want to do my kitchen.

Didn't use their tools. I took my toolbox and some additional stuff. I happen to have a better equiped toolbox than DH. My mama taught me well.

What an under taking. I'll bet she saved lots of money. I had my back splash in kitchen done a couple of years ago, but I hired a professional. I might attempt my laundry room myself, but don't know about moving the washer and dryer.

Lucky you. I don't think I'd trust my hubby to do mine. I'll just have my neighbour come and help me.
