this is soo stunning. when u quilt ur quilt on the machine do u use a embroidery ring or just free hand?
Thank you. Being new to embroidering on the machine, I hooped it. Will not do that again! Too hard and exausting. I am going to use the Betty Cotten Quilting Theory. I took a class a few months ago. You quilt each block as you go and then attach them together. Plus it makes the quilt two sided. Go to: http://www.quiltyard.com/whatisco... to see the technique.
Wonderful Quilt! I congratulate! Flowers for you
So different & beautiful and such a big quilt to make, you have so much patience!
Thank you, but determination was also a big part of it. hee hee It was a big project but we had just purchased a kingsize bed and I didn't have a quilt to go on it. I even made the comforter and pillowshams for the bed.
This is so lovely. I can't imagine how you were able to fit it in your sewing machine. It takes 2 of you to make your bed! It must have taken 2 of you to make the quilt. lol This is a quilt that you should be very proud of. Thanks so much for sharing.
How did you know???? hahahaha Yes, my DH did help me reposition every time. He deserves a lot of credit for the quilt finally being completed. It is so warm we only use a sheet and the quilt. Don't know why it is so warm, I used the same batting as always.
AAHHH! Now we get to see the crem de la crem, the finished quilt. Such beauty *4U
Very nice quilt, must have taken you ages to complete a king size one!
No, surprising enough I finished this one in about a year. I still work outside the home but my children are grown so I'm not running everywhere at nights anymore.
Very nice quilt, looks like you had yourself bussy for a while.
Such a beautiful quilt, Debs. Very clever of you to to wangle help in making the bed!! *4U
Thank you. Don't know why it is so heavy. I used the same batting as always. Guess its just the size. hee hee
Deb, very nice work - how do we get your quilt patterns? I love quilts and need to make some - one day soon.
