This design is from a new design pack at Ace Points Designs at Oregon Patchworks. The star, the garland, and the outline of the bow are stitched in gold metallic thread.

This is beautiful--when you use metallic thread do you also have it in the bobbin.

Only if you want the design to look the same on both sides. From what I've read, some people prefer that their FSL creations have a front side and a back side. In that case, use just one color bobbin thread thoughout the design.
