How grand & glorious 4 U. Am so glad he made it home & I know he's glad to b back. I salute your son 4 being willing to give his all 4 this country, Yours, his & mine. It seems almost all my forebears fought n one war or another, My dad was a marine, my DH that passed away 20 yrs ago was a marine, my brother was Airforce. I was raised to love my country & to honor the ones who served. I know how very happy u must be. when my daughter's DH was overseas (helicopter pilot army) I didn't get to see my g. kids or daughter 4 long time. all I wanted to do was hug, hug hug. *

Such a special time for you and the family. Just soak up every moment you have with them and enjoy their visit. *4U
I know all too well about the military. I married a Marine. He had to go overseas the other way. Viet Nam, and that was very trying on us all. He turned into an entirely different person when he retired from the service. Thinking back on all those lonely months waiting for him to come home is not an easy thing to do. It takes special people to get through it. So many families end up broken. All the moving around and uprooting is hard on the kids and spouses. The kids have to start new schools and make new friends, the spouses need new jobs and friends and curtains etc. Adjustments all over the place. Where are the relatives? Well, they are way off somewhere. Most military kids don't know their grandparents, aunts or uncles very well at all. Yours are very lucky. They have finally gotten to know you. Hopefully, the visits will be closer together. Not only do you need it, but they need it as well. Keep smiling. There is no sorrow, but only joy here. This is all good. *4u
Don't forget to take lots and lots of pictures.
Thany you, and I emptied the digatal camera so I can take lots of pics in between the hugs.
I can't image not seeing each other for such a long time. I'm so glad that their are people like your son that will defend our freedom. I hope that their are people like me that truely appreciate them, and let them know. I pray for our military. Enjoy your time - I'm sure it was pass quickly.
Home of the free, because of the brave.
