I came home from work and was told by hubby that I had a job that had to be done. Not knowing what it was he was telling me I had to do, I was just a little puzzeled by his statement. He told me that I had to bring in the harvest. Look what my pineapple has finally done! Small, but smells so good. Only about enough for a sweet taste for us.

5753looks good. when you cut the top off the pineapple you can make a new plant from it by cutting the top about 1/2 inch down from leaves and leaving leaves on you cut a channel about 1/4 inch in from edge and not quite to the skin deepand about 1/8th inch wide place it on a tissue to remove excess moisture and then sit it on a damp cotton wool (like kids do when experementing with wheat. when roots appear plant out .

I bet you can - It is not hard to do, or I would not have been able to get it to grow. I am known for my black thumb.

I don't have any bananas, but yes, there are bananas growing in Florida. They are what I call fingerling bananas. An again, they are very sweet.
