I am in desperate need of a tiny font to embroider names on something, kind of like an artist's signature on a piece of work.... Even shrinking the machine preset font(s) by 20%, the maximum I can, it still looks a little big.... Any suggestions?

I have software that will do the Adina font which can be shrunk - I typed out a 4 letter name, and it measured 10mm H x 26.9 W - are you wanting smaller than that? if that would work for you, i would be glad to try the name you need and see that you get it. Please let me know.

Thank you for your generous offer. I think I have managed to work something out. I am taking a sample tomorrow to the lady I am doing this for and I will see what she says. I will get back to you if she wants smaller than what I accomplished. *4U with thanks.

The font can get smaller - 4mm over fill or 5mm over fabric, but you would need software to get this with correct density. You are getting a smaller size but bolder look. Maybe a running stitch type font would give a lighter look - like red work. Using a lighter thread color may help. It depends on what you have to work with. Maybe this is something to do by hand.

I tried one that was about 1/2" and reduced it 20% in my machine. It worked out to about 1/4" tall. But it still looks too large for what I am doing. The names need to be there, but not "in your face". I want something subtle...
