say this is so incredibly sore! I think when I get the other hand done I'll go to a different dr. Hubby had the same surgery and he's fine doesn't even have a scar. Figures just my luck. When I had brain surgery there was a 1 in 1000 chance of stroke, I WON! Maybe I've been bad and didn't know it. Oh well, it feels better to get it off my chest. I'll survive - I am woman hear me roar, or whine in a corner (hahaha) Thanks for listening, think I'll go sew something (other than my hand!)

I totally agree about the Vitamin E! Just break open capsules & squeeze on. Even my Dr. told me this when I had my hand operated on, I was surprised. We've done this for years, keeps scarring down to little or nothing, and it makes healing **much** faster, too. It also seems to make it feel better, the oil keeps it soft & moist. Hope you feel better soon. Glad you can sew, despite the hand. Do you have somebody to help hoop, hee hee hee? Take care, Marji

OOOOUUUUUUCCCH! Oooh! Your poor thing, I am sitting here wincing and feeling your pain.
Sometimes It's hard to be a HUMAN, doing things that we don't understand, we have good times, but more bad times, even so it hurts when it's your hand.
Sorry I could help that after your Helen Reddy song.
Hope you are better soon. Hugs n roses, Meganne

Hope you have a speedy recovery, and that the hand heals better. Was it carpal tunnel you had done? I have had both hand done. One didn't even scar, and the other hand looks like I tried to slit my wrist, but it was really bad, and the incisions was about 8" long. Feel better.

My daughter put her hand through a window up to her elbow. She had one long cut all the way up the inside of her arm. The sewed her up and put her arm in a cast. This is about 35 years ago, so I don't remember how long she was in the cast or how long she had those stitches in. Anyway, they removed those stitches and her soar started spreading and she has a scar that is more than an inch wide in the middle of her arm. What once looked like a clean cut now looks nasty. She seems to scar easily though. Even the slightest cuts turn into scars. Her brother is just the oposite. Maybe you are more like my daughter than my son? I hope you hand heals soon.

Vitamin E is the way to go, start with the capsules, just break them apart & spread liquid, then when healed use the cream on the scar works well, you should have very little scarring. I used vit E on a hot water burn on my sons' back many years ago, he can get tanned now without any sign of burns. Take care and Don't do too much with your hand

I agree about the vit E. when he was a kid my brother fell on a bar heater, he had a grill pattern across the tops of his legs, mum used vit E on that burn and he has no scars at all.
