Something happened and my tension is off. Does this happen often, and how do I fix it? Thanks.

Actually, I have a 300E as well. I do not adjust the tension. I leave it at 2. When I do outline or small fill stitches I slow my machine down to 400, when I do medium, I speed it up to 500 an when I do large areas I speed it up to the fastest speed.
When I use a dark thread, especially for outlines I use a dark or black bobbinfill. I always leave the tension at 2.You might need to get your machine serviced. Your tension should not be off.

I have the 300e also. When I am sewing small fill stitches I have to adjust to 1 then when a bigger fill ( back & forwards) i ajust to 2. You just have to play with it. Just back space and try again with new tension set Hope this helps :)

Why does that make a difference? I'm still new, I have the dumb questions.
Thanks.

Thank you. I have a Janome 300E. I have just figured it out and have it running again. I don't know what happened - but I don't like it when these things happen.
:o)
