We have emus here & there. Used to b a herd that a man had a couple of miles from here. I know there oil is fantastic for healing. Nice job *
Being an Australian of course I love this design I love the blue on him but the real ones I have seen have grey, blacks and browns on the neck and could have a little tinge of blue on them But he looks good anyway. I wish I had this design and the Australian Emblem. It was a very nice thought to show others what our little bird looks like, even though you always are not sure if they are going to peck the top of your head or have a nip here or there. lol. You have done a great job I love it and I am sure others will too. Sandra H. Australia.
I know what you mean about the colour, but the original design had bright blue then some bright peacock blue, so I changed it to more sedate colours (I don't know where they got them from)...
Only place I have seen an emu is in a zoo, although they do farm ostriches in the neighbourhood. Don't know what they think of the weather, long cry from Africa. It's a beautiful design. Thanks for sharing.
He is really pretty. There are actually some live ones at a farm less than a mile from my home....in GEORGIA no less!;)
Oh how cute...I have an emu design too but a bit different to this one. Does this one take awhile to do? I think my one took about 45 or 50 mins...
Wow Tracey, this is wonderful - thank you for sharing it with us.
