Thanks for the site. These do not look like the snapdragons I am used to but they are very pretty.
I know I have some files of snapdragons...but don't know where I got them! Have you looked on www.annthegran.com for it? Go to the "flowers" and you will find LOTS of flowers to search through! I too grew up with my grandma growing snapdragons & my cousins would chase me "snapping" them telling me they would bite! Another old time favorite was "touch me nots" which would spring open when you barely squeezed the seed pod and sling seeds everywhere! They, too, came back each year...probably from us kids squeezing all the seed pods!
I love snaps, grow them every year, they keep coming back. I never heard them called puppy dog flowers, that's so cute. I have to look inside mine this morning, that's so interesting about the Madonna. Never heard that. Now, all that being said, I don't have a clue where to get one to embroider. I could take pix of mine, those would be royalty free, if you want. Marji
Send me a photo Kezza, haven't seen one since I was a kid and that was sooooooo long ago, I can't do one from memory. LOL! Will gladly have a go at doing one for you if you let me know what you want. hugs n roses, Meganne
Meg, just been searching the net so will get the best one I can, it will have to be royality free won't it? Will that be ok. Or maybe I take a pic of one of mine when I get a really nice one out.
No i haven't but They are a flower I grew up with we use to hold the back of the flower and gently tear the lower petal down and if you look inside you see the madonna with her arms streached down and the stamens look like lit candles.
Well I still have them growing now, so you know what I'll be looking at first thing in the morning. My plants are 5 feet tall and they are last years plants at that. Thanks.
