Thanks everyone for yr reply. Now i get the answer. The seller earlier on told me the machine can take in sew n jef. So thats why i freak out when the SEW isnt showing up in the machine. Now i know the answers! Thanks so much :) I like this site very much now hehe and try to vote too :P
You've received a lot of good info but you may have overlooked formating your FC. Your machine should only take the Jef format if its 300, 350 or 9700 and above.
9500 takes the SEW format.
I have 300E, takes JEF, not Sew. I got mine 2 years ago, I transfer to the flash card with Digitizer Pro. I'm not sure your machine takes SEW format, try the JEF. Marji
I use embird to transfer my designs to my card. if it is in another format embird will change it for you. You must save it in folder5.as the other folders are for other machine formats
I have 300E and have no problems with jef fromat and I use customiser to put the on to card
Eveve, I have the Janome 300E machine. I download and save the designs. I then use Digitiser Pro software to convert the designs to JEF format before transferring to flash card.
I have Janome 11000 I was told when I bought my machine it used sew and jef but it only works with jef
I have a Janome 10001 - which uses JEF format. I use customizer to transfer designs onto the CF card. I also use sew what pro to convert, resize etc and sew iconz to view desings,
I HAVE A 300E. I HAD THAT SAME TROUBLE >THEN I FOUND OUT ON THE CARD <THE CARD HAS SEVERAL EMB FOLDERS MAKE SURE YOU TRANFERR THE DESIDN TO EMBF5 I use JEF format .Email me if you wish .Good luck
I copy the files into EMBF5 folder too. I tried format my card yesterday, throw in only sew format from various sources into this folder. HOwever, machine shows empty pics under embroidery mode (PC card mode). Have u tried with SEW before? i used JEF in this file and its ok but not for sew
What program are you using ? Just remindered that when i download--- make sure you put in the machine you are using .No have not use sew .Have used pes .I have embird which converts all format Open your Jamone Customizer and make sure the 300E is click Hope this makes since for you and a help
I have a Janome 10001 it is very similar, you must use Customizer or Digitizer Pro to transfer your designs to the card. Drag and drop does not work. Customizer should have been included with your machine.
I have a 300E. It only takes jef. Sew is for the older machines, like, I think, the 9500.
I have 350 it uses Jef only. I use lap top and flash drives. Transfer back and forth on them. If you have too many programs in the designs file for the machine it takes too long to load and pages to turn. I use the second flash and keep limited number on it changing it when needed. I use sew what pro and sew icon for cataloging and converting. Hope this helps.
Hi, I have the 350e and it only takes the jef format.
I think the others have answered your questions about customizer and buzz explore.
good luck.
I use the customizer 10000 which does a wonderful job of of writing to the card. I also use buzz explore program to convert designs from any format to Jef. I convert the designs and then use customizer to write to a compact flash card from the computer. Both programs are almost a
necessity if downloading into the machine. Or I am sure you can download designs directly from your computer into your sewing machine. My machine is a Janome 10000 but it is the same setup for downloading. Good luck.
I have a Janome 300E machine. I also have Buzz cataloge witch I save my patterns in.I have a compact flash reader/writer.I double click on the pattern in the buzz catalogue and my Janome Customizer 1100 opens and I click on the write button and it writes it to my CF. I only use JEF design on my 300E. I was told that I needed the Janome Customizer to be able to transfer patterns to the reader/writer to the CF. I have had no problems transfering patterns in this method. The buzz tools is so I can see the patterns and change the format from pes or other formats to JEF. I was told the newer machines only use the JEF format and that SEW is the older Janome format. I have had my machine nearly 2 years
