Good morning Cuties. I have seen some adorable shirts in projects with "bling" sparkle added with little rhinestones and stuff .What do you use to keep them on thru washing? Thanks!

I have not done this but why can't you use a glue gun? If you just used a toothpick and put some of the hot glue on it. Then put bling on whatever you want.

I have used the iron on ones. All you have to do is iron the clothing item place the crystal where you want it. Turn the garment inside out iron pressing over for 10-15 second and kudosss! all done. So far I have never had any issues with them comming off with washes and dont have to buy any specialized tools to place them. *2U

I found this instruction in case you just want to buy the "gems" first and hold off on the tool.
Iron-on Method
Place fabric face up on a flat surface that can withstand heat.
Position rhinestone face up on fabric in the area where you wish it to adhere.
Heat up your iron to the lowest setting.
Once iron is heated, press and hold iron to the rhinestone; glue should melt and rhinestone should adhere to fabric.
Let dry and cool – voila, you’re done!

I FOUND THE SITE FOR YOU! Go to the site below and click on the Kandy Kane wand & crystals. It's not the brand I have, but am sure it's fine. Their crystals are more reasonable...but don't know what the shipping would be.
They also have designs for use with or without crystals.
Have fun!

In answer to your question about the tool.Mine is a Lorna Decorative Touch Wand. Have seen them in several places. My sewing machine dealer, Nancy's Notions both on line & in catalog, Martha Pullen catalog may have them, have also seen the crystals in different places. I know Martha Pullen carries them & usually where you find the wand you find the crystals. IF you still have a Hancocks near you, I think they carried both. Have also seen them on line, but can't remember where! Try a search for crysals. But check carefully...JoAnne's has them, but they are NOT for the hot fix wand.

I have the tool and the bling, I just haven't used it yet. I guess I should get started on it. Does anyone put them in the dryer after washing them?

I wouldn't. Especially if your dryer gets hot! Maybe on a delicate cycle. But I always hang them to dry to be safe!

I wouldn't put them in the dryer again. I did with a store bought top for my daughter that had hotfix crystals on it and I had to 're-fix' them afterwards!

I have the hot fix tool, and have not had any problems with them coming off. I had a friend do a wedding veil with pearls, and it was beautiful. They have so many different ones now - some are a little pricy, but I am sure that there has to be a site that has better prices. Anybody know of one?

How did you put the stones on? I have one of the hot fix tools and the ones I've put on for my grand daughters haven't come off. They are just washed as usual in warm water, but NOT put in the dryer. Was afraid they would come off then. And they are washed a LOT! Have also put the hot fix metal things (hearts, etc) on and they, too, have held up through washings.
